The worship ministry at Groton Bible Chapel exists to lead people into loving relationships with their our Lord and Savior. There are many opportunities to lead worship here at GBC, including (but not limited to) Sunday morning church services, Women’s Bible Studies, Men’s events, Celebrate Recovery, midweek GBCkids and GBCyouth services. Come be a part of a great group of worship leaders who are passionate about bringing glory and honor to Jesus.

Steps to becoming involved:

Fill out GBC’s core volunteer form. If you’ve already filled this out for another ministry, you do not need to fill it out again, as we already have it on file.
Submit Worship Ministry application.
Once you’ve submitted your Worship Ministry application, you’ll receive an email with next steps to schedule your audition.

We have six bands that consist of different musicians each week. Most of our musicians are only expected to lead worship once every six weeks but in some cases, musicians may be asked to fill in, based on the individual's availability.
For the individual that would like to lead worship more often, there are more opportunities to lead worship throughout the week in various ministries such as GBCyouth weekly events (Breakaway/Engage), AWANA, re|engage, re|generation, GBCyouth Sunday services, and Women’s Bible Study.
Sundays that worship members serve, they are asked to be at the church by 7:00AM and stay until noon, which is when they’re done serving.
Rehearsals take place each Saturday in the sanctuary from 4:00p - 6:00p, and are attended by all musicians and tech team members. This rehearsal is meant to be a dress rehearsal, meaning musicians are expected to know and practice their parts ahead of this dress rehearsal.
Auditions take place in the worship center and consist of having you present two worship songs (which are listed below) in front of myself and another worship ministry volunteer.
Please bring a pair of in-ear monitors (any old pair of Apple headphones will do), so that you can hear yourself. ***These in-ears CANNOT be bluetooth or wireless headphones.***
We use in-ears at rehearsals and on Sunday mornings so it's important that you bring them with you.
