Women’s Ministry
Our desire is to help women grow in Jesus Christ. We want you to find a community of women who are committed to loving God and each other, where you can develop friendships that are grounded in God’s Word.
Women’s Bible Study Overview
WBS is for those looking to dive deeper into God’s Word. Through personal study, group discussion, and large group teaching, Women’s Bible Study creates an atmosphere for community and spiritual growth. Our prayer for every woman who attends is that she would become biblically literate, grow in her love for God, strengthen her comprehension skills, and learn to apply The Word to her life daily.
This past fall, we spent six weeks in Ephesians using N.T. Wright’s guided study, followed by Your Story Has a Villain by J.P. Pokluda—a five-week study on putting on the Armor of God.
Looking ahead, our Winter/Spring study will be focused on the Book of Exodus. Registration for new attendees will open December 28 (space permitting).

Looking for a way to connect and build friendships with other women at GBC? Community Tables are small, casual gatherings hosted by women from our church—each with its own unique time, setting, and flavor. These dinners are designed to help women share life, encourage one another, and grow together in faith.
Sign-ups are available at most of our women’s gatherings, including GBCMOM Brunches, Movie Nights, and our Fall and Spring Women’s Events.
Our next opportunity for Community Table Sign up will be at our GBCMOMS Winter Movie night January 9th followed by our Women's Spring Event in early May.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry desires to wrap God’s love around those who are in need of prayer. PSM knits shawls to serve as physical representation of the love of God and the hope that comes from Him alone. We would love for you to be a part of this wonderful ministry; experience is not required.

Women’s Ministry FAQ
-
Our Women’s Ministry exists to help women know God deeply, grow in biblical understanding, build Christ-centered relationships, and live out their faith in everyday life. Everything we do flows from Scripture and aims to encourage, equip, and connect women of all ages.
-
We prioritize Bible-first studies that center on Scripture rather than personality-driven books. Women are guided to open their Bibles, study the text, and apply God’s Word personally within a supportive community.
-
Sign-ups open before each semester in August and January. You can register online or through the Church Center App for both the fall and spring semesters.
If sign ups have closed, you are still welcome to attend our Wednesday morning study for fellowship and live teaching from 9:15-10:30am. If evenings are better, you can come on Thursdays from 6:30-7:15pm.
Wednesday morning study meets in the Worship Center and Thursday evening study meets in the Family Life Center. -
Childcare availability varies depending on the event. Our Wednesday morning Bible study has limited childcare for babies through pre-k. All children must be registered before attending.
