Isabel Emsheimer
Hi my name is Isabel,
I have grown up in a Christian home. My parents have taught me about Jesus since as young as I can remember. I have always enjoyed Awana and Sunday School where I have also learned about Jesus. My parents explained to me about sin and how my sin separates me from God. My Dad read me a book called The Lamb, and I remember the story about the Israelites putting the blood of the lamb on the door post so the Lord would pass over their house and spare their lives. And this blood represents Jesus’s blood when He died on the cross to pay for my sins. I remember praying with my Dad to accept Jesus as my Savior when we finished the book.
For a couple years I wasn’t sure that I prayed the right words, and my Dad would help me understand that Jesus knows my heart and that I didn’t have to say all the words just right, but that it was by my faith in Jesus that He saved me. And my Dad helped me understand that I can never lose my salvation. John 10:28 tells me that Jesus gives me eternal life and holds me in His hand and that no one can take me out of His hand. Since Jesus is the most powerful person, I don’t have to worry about Him letting me go.
I know that Jesus loves me through anything and that even through the hard times I can trust in Him no matter what.
I want to be baptized because I know that’s what Jesus wants me to do to show my faith in Him.
Joshua 1:9 — “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
