Dominque Martinez

I first found GBC about 14 years ago. Over the years, I have come and gone to GBC, tried out other churches, even joined churches virtually. I am forever grateful my family allowed me to make the choice for myself, to choose a church I feel I belong to. Grateful that GBC has been that church all along. Grateful that my family allowed me to choose when I felt it necessary to become baptized, and for supporting me throughout my faithful journey. Even through divorce and many other big life changes, my faith has always stayed strong. It’s shown me that even when life feels uncertain, God’s love is something that never shifts.

I’ve learned to turn to God not only when life feels heavy, but because I know I’m His. My baptism means more to me than words can say. It’s my way of showing that my faith is real—that I want to live it out every day. It’s a promise to stay faithful, to live with a pure heart, and to never be ashamed of the love and grace He’s given me.
