1 Timothy 1:12-14 SAYS:
"I thank Him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because He judged me faithful, appointing me to His service, though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus."
I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home where I learned about God from a young age, but over time my faith became personal. Through both joy and hardship, I have come to know Jesus not only as my Savior but as my constant source of peace, strength, and love. Today, I trust Him with my life as I continue to grow in my relationship with Him.
Before Christ I nearly lost everything I loved in my life. Now that I have Christ I know what love actually is and I have more blessings than I could imagine. I love unconditionally because Jesus did that for me.
“For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith." – 1 John 5:4
I began going to church as an adult after being raised in a secular household, first thinking it would just be an opportunity to make new friends. Over time, I gradually started to believe in God, even as I still struggled with sin, especially anxiety. I finally truly became a Christian during a Good Friday service, reflecting on just how severe my sin was, and how great is the love of God that He would send His son to die for it.
I wasn't very open minded to God, but during my journey in sobriety, after it being everywhere in my life God wouldn't leave me alone. During a meditation I realized that Christ was THE answer. Now I have a freedom beyond what I could express and a love I can't explain.
