Isaiah 35:9b-10a - Redeemed
This is the first of 24 uses of the word “redeemed” in the book of Isaiah, and can serve as an argument against the modern liberal scholarship that there were two ‘Isaiahs’. This verse serves as a transitional thought into the latter two-thirds of the book, after the narrative section encompassing chapters 36-39, where redemption from judgment is a major theme. What is your understanding of the word “redeemed”? What New Testament Scriptures can you find that use this word? How is redemption dependent on resurrection?
