We often see missions only in terms of “preaching the good news about Jesus”. But life in other countries can drain the physical, emotional, and spiritual energy of God’s people. Visas, work permits, government registration, insurance, audits, and taxes all represent often overlooked missions teamwork that is necessary to keep missionaries on the front lines. Constantly changing government regulations regarding religious organizations takes great wisdom and time in establishing relationship and finding favor with officials. Pray for those who work in finance, projects, and communications, that God will give wisdom, unity and joy in their service. “And you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety.” [2 Corinthians 1:11 (NLT)]
Continue to pray for our missionaries working in the Nepal earthquake area. For personal emotional health and strength to continue serving in areas of great grief and destruction.
Pray also as the Builder’s for Christ team heads to Kansas, another construction crew as they return to Haiti, and summer teen teams as they prepare for their weeks of service. Pray for Mark and Carolyn Kinzer who are preparing to return to their work at Rift Valley Academy in Kenya this summer.
