In Matthew 22, Jesus teaches on several important topics....He once again makes clear that the Kingdom is available to those beyond Israel. He teaches on paying taxes, and clearly puts into perspective the greatest commandment. Lastly, He connects David’s writing about the coming Christ to Himself…How do these teachings affect me this week? Matthew 22:1-14. Jesus is again telling a parable about Israel. Who are the invited wedding guests? Why don’t they attend? The king then has servants go and invite whoever they can find—who does this group represent? Why does the man without wedding clothes get rejected? Am I ready for the “wedding”?
