Train up a child
Proverbs 22:6 & Ephesians 6:4 - For parents whose children have gone astray in their adult life, this little verse in Proverbs can be a source of angst. How can we appropriately view this verse as a general principle and not a formula? How is the emphasis on “starting” the parent’s responsibility and the “not departing” on the child who is grown? How is Paul’s teaching an expansion of this idea?
