Meet The Staff
Lloyd became part of the GBC family in 1978 serving in Sunday School and later as head of the Teen department while owner-operating a successful area business. His full-time pastoral staff duties began in 2000, and he currently serves as the Director of Caring Ministries. Lloyd's wife, Heidi, a public school librarian, is also a very active participant in God's work at GBC.

Meet Andy, GBC's Missions Pastor. Andy seeks to "connect" people via our missions program. As a public educator, he taught history, English, and video for 35 years. Andy also has many years of experience in camping, both with the Boy Scouts and as a program leader at a Berea Teen Camp. Andy has led foreign and domestic mission trips and has nearly 20 years of experience developing and leading small groups. Andy and his wife Sherylann, have two boys, both serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. In his spare time, Andy enjoys van restoration projects, supporting Coast Guard cadets, and is an avid skier.

Amber is the Director of Women's Ministries. Originally from Oklahoma, Amber has been part of the GBC family since 2012. Prior to that she travelled with her Navy husband, Tyler, while teaching children’s Sunday School in 3 churches (in Connecticut, Idaho and Florida) as well as leading a children’s ministry program. She began serving at GBC as an AWANA volunteer in 2014 and has since created and delivered training to the children’s Sunday School and AWANA workers to improve their awareness of children’s needs and the delivery of God’s word. Amber is an avid Sooner fan, and describes herself as a “Jesus lovin’ Oklahoma girl”. Her hobbies include washing laundry but neither folding it nor putting it away and trying to make her home look like JoAnna Gaines’. Amber and Tyler have two daughters: Addison and Emily.

Gary Campbell, Jr.
Gary Campbell Jr. serves as the Lead Pastor here at GBC. He is a lifelong GBCer who before coming to work at GBC had served in youth ministry for many years, after which Gary served as our Youth Pastor for ten years. Gary’s passion here at GBC is to see the church grow in its mission to impact the local community for the Lord, and see people go deep in discipleship over the long haul. He enjoys teaching the Bible and encouraging people one to one in their walks with Jesus. Gary and his wife Kristi have four children; Gary III, William, Nathan, & Ella. Gary is an avid outdoorsman, and baseball fan. He enjoys spending time with his family, camping, coaching baseball, and enjoying snowstorms and bonfires alike.

Director of Buildings and Grounds
Doug is the Director of Buildings and Grounds. He came to us after retiring from a 13 year position at Berea in New Hampshire where he served, first as the Director of Operations and then the Office Manager. Doug finds managing the facilities here as a continuation of what the Lord called him to do while at Berea. The position is challenging, yet exciting as he looks forward to our building expansion. Doug and his wife Phebe have two grown children, Brian and Kristi, and they love spending time with their families and their seven grandkids.

Our new office administrator was first introduced to GBC in 2018 through the Celebrate Recovery ministry. Katrina has a degree in Psychology and many years of administrative work experience. This mom of a young adult serves in the chapel’s video ministry. She can be reached at email@example.com.
Deborah is the Administrative Assistant at GBC. Deborah's background is as a legal secretary and account manager and she has a degree in psychology. She is very active in the ministries of GBC as a Stephen minister and also in the Generations ministry. She and her husband, John, have two grown daughters, and Deb enjoys hiking, decorating, gardening, and card making.

Jonny started serving at GBC as the Worship Arts Pastor in the fall of 2014. Before joining the GBC staff, Jonny led worship for over eight years at his hometown church in Auburn, Massachusetts. Jonny studied Communications at Houghton College and graduated with his degree in 2012 before leading worship all over the east coast. Jonny's passions involve disc golf and rooting for the Celtics and Red Sox. Jonny and his wife, Katie, live in Waterford and can be found at Paul's Pasta at least one day a week.

Having been at the Chapel since 2006, Meghan has served in the youth ministry for many years and now serves as our Director of Children's Ministries. Meghan has such a passion for seeing the whole family participate in church together and that fuels much of the work she puts into GBCKids. She enjoys kayaking, cooking, and watching movies.

Tim refers to himself as the "old guy" on the team. In addition to being our Connections Pastor, Tim is also a consultant at Dominion Power. Over the years, Tim has worn many hats at GBC, but his favorite role is meeting new folks and helping them connect. He understands what it is like "being new" as the Navy brought Tim and his wife, Betty, here many years ago and Connecticut became their home. Here, they raised their four children and now cheer on their grands! Tim is an avid bike rider and tennis player.

Director of Toll Gate Christian Nursery School
Jane has been involved in child advocacy with area ministries and workplaces since 1990. She was an Assistant Director at a local preschool prior to becoming Director of TGCNS in July, 2014. She holds a CT Director’s Credential and a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Jane became a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ as a child and continues to grow up in Him alongside her husband, James, in Gales Ferry. They have three grown children.

Elise is our Media Specialist. Elise creates visual presentations using a variety of software in order to share information, enhance worship, and enrich teachings at GBC. She has a BS degree in horticulture and is a certified elementary teacher. Elise and her husband, Todd, live in RI with their daughters and are involved in music ministry here at GBC. Elise loves music, hiking and photography.

Originally from Southern California, Zak and his wife Katrina both grew up in Ventura. He studied International Development at UCLA, spent three years in missions in Mexico and overseas before moving to Massachusetts for a 4-year stay at Gordon-Conwell Seminary. It was in that time that the Lord gave them a heart for the church of New England as they served at a local church plant. Zak's passion in ministry is clarity in teaching and depth in discipleship. He will gladly nerd out with you on anything history and philosophy and enjoys playing basketball, board games, or watching any good sit-com. Zak and Katrina have two boys: Athanasius and Cyril.

Jeremy joined the GBC staff the spring of 2014 as the new Director of Youth Ministries. Jeremy loves hanging out with youth and coming along side them in their journey through adolescence. Graduating from Gordon College with a degree in Youth Ministries and serving on Berea summer staff for over 5 years has prepared and equipped Jeremy for the work he will be doing with the youth and their families of GBC. Jeremy, and his wife Samantha, love going to the beach, playing games, and watching movies.
