Jesus claims temporary use of the colt, and His authority is assumed sufficient to do so. The ancient practice of angaria allowed for kings or government officials to commandeer items, animals, even people. We see Jesus exercise authority over sickness and spirits elsewhere, but how is this different? What does it say about who Jesus is?
