Bob McCoy ©Gregory Wostrel 2004Bob McCoy is the senior member of the pastoral staff. He is the main speaker at the Sunday morning services and has ministered at GBC for nearly 20 years. Prior to becoming senior pastor, Bob was designing and coordinating the adult education program and was also the youth pastor for several years. He has also been an area coordinator for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and an English teacher. Bob’s teaching on Sunday mornings is both challenging and practical. He and his wife, Joanne, have three grown children and five grandchildren. Bob is an avid swimmer, relishes snow storms, and enjoys doing home improvement projects with Joanne.

Lloyd Bayreuther ©Gregory Wostrel 2004Lloyd Bayreuther became part of the GBC family in 1978 serving in Sunday School and later as head of the Teen department while owner-operating a successful area business. His full-time pastoral staff duties began in 2000, and he currently serves as the Director of Caring Ministries. Lloyd’s wife, Heidi - a public school librarian - and their two grown boys are also very active participants together in God’s work at GBC.

Meet Andy Bonner, GBC’s Connections Pastor. Andy seeks to “connect” people via small groups, young adult ministry and our mission emphasis. As a public educator, he taught history, English, and video for 35 years. Andy also has many years of experience in camping, both with the Boy Scouts and as a program leader at a Berea Teen Camp. Andy has led foreign and domestic mission trips and has nearly 20 years of experience developing and leading small groups. Andy and his wife Sherylann, have two boys, both serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. In his spare time, Andy enjoys van restoration projects, supporting Coast Guard cadets, and is an avid skier.

Lloyd Bayreuther ©Gregory Wostrel 2004Gary Campbell, Jr. serves as the Director of Youth Ministries. Working with teenagers is Gary’s passion! Gary is a life-long GBC’er with a rich history in teen ministry, camp work, small groups, and discipleship. Before joining the pastoral staff, Gary’s previous professional life included being a business owner/operator, and he has most recently been involved in aviation electronics. Gary and his wife, Kristi, have four children and are active in the lives of many. Gary is an avid outdoorsman and closely follows the New York Metropolitans.

Faithe Emerich is GBC’s part-time secretary. Faithe was born and raised in Arizona. Although she misses the southwest, she is enjoying all the unique things that the northeast provides like four seasons and the beautiful ocean. She loves spending time with her husband Jeff and son Jaedon and enjoys the challenge of making a meal from scratch.

Deborah Harms is the GBC bookkeeper and office assistant. Deborah’s background is as a legal secretary and account manager and she has a degree in psychology. She is very active in the ministries of GBC as a pianist and an AWANA leader. She and her husband, John, have two daughters, and Deb enjoys hiking, decorating, and antiquing.

Carrie Matzdorff is the Director of Children's Ministries at Groton Bible Chapel. Carrie has been attending the chapel since 2000 and has been involved with Nursery, Vacation Bible School, Teens, Sunday School and Christian Evangelism Fellowship. She has a passion for serving the Lord and young children. Carrie and her husband, Nate, have two children and a Golden Retriever. She enjoys scrapbooking, oil painting, sailing, going to the beach, camping, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Elise Poquette is our Media Specialist. Elise creates visual presentations using a variety of software in order to share information, enhance worship, and enrich teachings at GBC. Elise is also one of our web site administrators. She has a BS degree in horticulture and is a certified elementary teacher. Elise and her husband, Todd, live in RI with their daughter and are involved in music ministry as members of The Light. Elise loves music, hiking and photography.

Frank Vitale ©Gregory Wostrel 2003Frank Vitale serves the GBC family in the areas of administration, music, and teaching. Previous to joining the pastoral staff, Frank was an educator for 20 years as both a public school teacher and an administrator. As a founding member of The Light, Frank has led worship throughout New England at churches, camps, and various musical venues. He and his wife, Audrey, were also part of the administrative staff at Camp Berea for 5 years. They have been active in hosting home Bible studies for years and are the parents of three daughters. Frank enjoys riding a Harley, family camping trips, and is also a born-in-New-York Yankees fan!
